Orsett Hall is a located in the picturesque village of Orsett in Thurrock, Essex. Being just off junction 29 or 30 of the M25, near to the QE2 Bridge at Dartford and very close to Basildon, London Gateway and Intu Lakeside Shopping Centre, Orsett Hall is the perfect Hotel for business or pleasure. London City Airport and Southend Airport are only 30 minutes away by car and it is just 35 miles to Stanstead Airport.

Intu Lakeside Shopping Centre

Intu Lakeside is Europe’s largest integrated retail and leisure destination offering an unmatched convenience and immediate M25 access, 13,000 FREE car parking spaces and an integrated railway station and bus terminal. The Centre offers 1.44 million square feet of retail with some 251 retail units, catering and leisure space and sees an annual footfall of 25 million people. The new £100m development that is planned will see new cafes, restaurants and leisure uses as well as family entertainment venues, bars and health facilities.

Thameside Theatre

The Thameside Theatre in Grays has an auditorium of 315 seats and offers various shows and events throughout the year.

Port of Tilbury

The Port of Tilbury is a dynamic and diverse port providing fast, modern distribution services to the South East of England and beyond. It handles a full range of cargoes with specialist expertise in the handling of paper and forest products, containers, grain & bulk commodities and construction & building materials. There are many Golf Clubs situated near to Orsett Hall but our favourite is Orsett Golf Club which is a regional qualifying course for the Open Championship and has a fantastic course. Thurrock Thameside Nature Park

The Thurrock Thameside Nature Park has footpaths and cycle ways in 120 acres of nature park which will eventually expand to 845 acres. It has a stunning and innovative visitor centre which has been built on a former landfill site, with superb views over Mucking Flats and the Thames Estuary (SPA). It is a fascinating place to visit and great for bird and ship watching!

London Gateway Port

London Gateway is a newly built, state-of-the-art, highly automated deep sea container port offering unrivalled deep-water access, road and rail links to the whole of the UK. It is also home to Europe’s largest logistics park offering shippers the connectivity, speed, efficiency and reliability for their supply chains that is so important to them. London Gateway was modelled on DP World’s flagship Jebel Ali facility in Dubai, which was voted as ‘Best Seaport in the Middle East’ for 19 consecutive years. It provides the most efficient link between deep-sea shipping and the largest consumer markets in the UK.

Langdon Hills Country Park

Langdon Hills Country Park covers some 400 acres and provides fantastic panoramic views over the Thames Estuary and across to London. The Park sits on a hilly ridge that extends from Dunton to Vange. With its ancient woodlands dating back to prehistoric times, its areas of dense scrubland and grassland meadows full of flowers, it is a great place to visit. Langdon Hills Country Park also has numerous picnic areas and a good network of footpaths and horse and cycle tracks linking to the surrounding countryside.

High House Production Park

High House Production Park in Purfleet, was set up to support an international centre of excellence for creative industries in Thurrock. The aim is to inspire future generations and was put together by the Royal Opera House, Cultural & Creative Skills, Acme Studios, Thurrock Council, Arts Council England together with the departments of Business Innovation and Skills, Communities and Local Government and their agencies. It is home to the Backstage Centre, High House and the Royal Opera House Costume Centre & Set Design and Artists Studios.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall

Donated to the RHS by Helen and Dick Robinson in 1993, RHS Garden Hyde Hall is set in 360 acres of land, and attracts more than 217,000 visitors annually.

Marsh Farm

Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park is set in over 30 acres of beautiful farm land surrounded by 300 acres of country park on the edge of the River Crouch. It is a great day out for all the family creating long-lasting memories.
